Before You Light

Preparing Your Space

Place your pillar candle on a heat-resistant trinket tray or decorative plate.

A tray is essential to:
• Protect your surfaces
• Catch natural wax drips
• Allow your candle to burn safely while preserving its sculptural beauty

Ensure the surface is stable and level, positioned away from drafts, open windows, air conditioning or fans. Air movement can cause uneven burning and excessive dripping.

Before Each Light

Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before every burn.
This encourages a controlled, refined flame and a cleaner burn.

The First Burn

Allow your candle to burn until the top begins to soften and a gentle wax pool forms around the wick.

Unlike container candles, pillar candles are not designed to create a full edge-to-edge melt pool. Their structure is intentionally crafted to maintain their sculptural silhouette while slowly evolving with each burn.

During the Burn

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep away from children and pets
• Keep the wick centred as the wax softens
• We recommend shorter burn sessions, never exceeding 2 hours at a time

As your candle burns, it will naturally transform. Soft drips and subtle curves are part of the experience — each burn creating a unique, artistic finish.

After Each Use

Extinguish the flame gently.
Allow the candle to cool and fully solidify before moving.
Re-trim the wick to 5mm before relighting.

Any wax collected on your trinket tray can be removed once fully hardened.

A Candle Collective pillar is more than fragrance
it is atmosphere, art, and ambience in one sculpted form.
